Too Many Stores, Too Little Time!

What’s the only thing you can’t buy in this area?  More time to shop!  The Washington/Wood County area boasts a wide range of shopping opportunities for even the most discriminating tastes.

The area is renowned for the incredible antiques stores that dot the downtowns of almost every city or town – from Lowell to Marietta to Lower Salem to Newport.  Almost as abundant are the multitudes of craft shops featuring artisan items created by some of our most talented residents.  Additionally, boutique stores selling everything from books to wine to art to fine women’s apparel to jewelry are plentiful, fueling the local economy one small business-owner at a time.

National retail chains are also readily available on both sides of the Ohio River in Marietta and Parkersburg and Vienna, West Virginia – which also hosts the Grand Central Mall.
